37 NTU Management Review Vol. 29 No. 3 Dec. 2019 Author Biography Chyi-Mei Chen Chyi-Mei Chen has a Ph.D. in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a William Fulbright Scholar, and a winner of the 1991 Scholarly Award from Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation. He is now with the Finance Department of the National Taiwan University, where he teaches graduate-level Game Theory, Theory of Securities Markets Microstructure, Finance Theory, and undergraduate-level Investments. His research in finance has received an MIT Thesis Award and numerous domestic awards, while he is also a 4-time winner of Best Paper Awards from NTU International Conference. His research also involves industrial economics and marketing, with recent focuses placed on equilibrium analysis of internet and mobile marketing strategies. His recent papers with Shan-Yu Chou that investigate the interactions between financing decisions and competitive marketing strategies have been presented at the AMA Summer Educators’ Conference for 5 consecutive years. Some of his work can be found in the Marketing Letters and Academia Economic Papers. *Shan-Yu Chou Shan-Yu Chou received her Ph.D. degree in Marketing from the University of Chicago. She is a professor at the Department of Business Administration, National Taiwan University, where she teaches Marketing Management, Marketing Models, and Pricing and Competitive Strategies. Her research interests include channel strategy, retailing strategy, competitive advertising strategy, online marketing, and pricing and competitive strategies.
