31 NTU Management Review Vol. 29 No. 1 Apr. 2019 earned by hoarding supplies will inspire them to postpone the sale of grain. Hence, the first antecedent “supplier belief in future earnings” is related to the construct of “supplier attitude toward weakened operational shock-wave after a disaster”. According to theory of planned behavior (TPB), which claims that intention has a cause-effect relationship with attitude, the second antecedent “supplier attitude toward weakened operational shock- wave after a disaster” is linked to “supplier hoarding intention”. Similarly, the concept of “subjective norm” derived from TPB led us to propose the third antecedent “perceived relationship quality in main partner”. We consider the last antecedent “regime intervention” as a feasible method to moderate the effects of supplier attitude toward weakened operational disruption post disaster and future earnings desire on supplier hoarding intention. Next, we investigated the cause-effect relationships between the five leading constructs and five corresponding hypotheses. The following are the theoretical bases of these five hypotheses.
