Achievements and Features

(1) Added call for papers on specific subjects and publications of special issues

NTU Management Review has been once again listed in the TSSCI since 2006, and our review procedure has been revised with stringent standard to systematically promote profoundness of papers submitted to us, set a paradigm among domestic management study, and develop study community and network on related areas. Since 2006, we have started calling for papers on specific subjects to be published as special issues. External guest editors are invited to work with our area editors to determine critical research subjects and organize seminars, expediting dissimilation of knowledge and discovering potential papers. Up until now we have called for such papers for about 20 times.

(2) Aggressive internationalization

For the internationalization of NTU College of Management, after being indexed by Scopus in 2013, in September and November of 2017, NTU Management Review has been indexed by EBSCO and ProQuest, respectively. To further internationalize, NTU College of Management organized the Enterprise Risk and Security Management workshop in 2009, which was the first time we joined forces with SCI-listed Decision Support Systems for the call for papers. Decision Support Systems enjoys a high impact factor and is highly regarded internationally. Through collaboration with distinguished international journals, domestic scholars’ researches and development results can be better promoted among international scholars.
In 2010, NTU Management Review also joined forces with MISQ (MIS Quarterly), an internationally renowned periodical, for the call for papers and to organize international seminars, propelling more domestic quality papers into international society and promoting NTU Management Review as a channel for domestic scholars to exchange with international society. NTU Management Review leads domestic management periodicals toward international development.

During Nov. 2011, NTU Management Review had organized a series of Management Theory and Practice Seminar, the first of which was jointly organized with Fudan University. In 2014, the seminar was held jointly with Kyoto University in Kitakyushu City of Japan; the seminar not only formed an intimate and solid exchange and interaction between NTU and Kyoto University, but also helped materialize in-depth discussion among both domestic and foreign scholars. As a long-term plan based on international development, we will continue to organize the 2016 Management Theory and Practice Seminar jointly with Kyoto University; with scholar attendees from Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, and Pakistan; which has greatly enhanced cooperation between Kyoto University and NTU.

(4) NTU Management Review digitizes its Periodicals and Papers Collection

Published papers are collected in the NTU Journal Database established by NTU Press Committee, which has entered into exclusive licensing agreements since 2007 with Airiti, Hyweb, Transmission Books and Microinfo, Angle Publishing, United Digital Publication, and Asiaworld Digital Technology. All published papers are concurrently available at CEPS Chinese Electronic Periodical Services, Hyread Taiwan Journal Database, Taiwan Business & Economy Knowledge Online, Lawdata, Taiwan Academic Citation Index and Taiwan Journal Search. All papers adapted can be repeatedly cited, thus increase academic value and promote academic exchange.
Furthermore, NTU Management Review constantly pursues innovation. In Nov. 2010, it has completed its bilingual website in Mandarin and English, while full collection of papers is made available; every volume and issue are freely available in PDF format in compliance with Scopus requirement. Since Jun. 2012, with help from Airiti, each of our papers in collection has a registered Digital Object Identifier, or DOI. To increase popularity of our papers collection and to compete on international par, since 2013, we have begun to offer online papers preview service. To update information at a faster speed, we have been publishing e-paper since Oct. 2014, which offers previews on the most-recently published, adapted but yet published papers, with links to full text for direct citations by researchers.

In addition, to accelerate submission review and process, since 2013, NTU Management Review has introduced an online submission and review system, which was further strengthened in 2015 with an additional proprietary submission system, allowing scholars to submit and review papers online. Fully utilizing to the advantages which the internet manages to, this system provides real-time status of papers’ submission and the review process.
