Editor’s Note NTU Management Review places a high value on interdisciplinary research as well as collaboration and wholeheartedly welcome our new distinguished area editor, Professor Tay-Chang Wang（王泰昌）, an excellent scholar of the Department of Accounting in College of Management, National Taiwan University. Prof. Wang excels in the following research fields: financial accounting and financial economics. With the addition of the talented and diligent Professor Wang to our editorial team, NTU Management Review will continue to flourish and achieve greater goals, including: to maintain top-quality standards of the journal; to improve administrative efficiency; to promote constructive feedbacks to the authors and ensure that every author can gain further knowledge and experience throughout the review processes. Syntrend（三創）in Chinese stands for three achievements, which consist of innovation（創新）, creativity（創意）, and entrepreneurship（創業）. To encourage the generation of new ideas and to provide a platform for both domestic and overseas scholars to further discuss syntrend and other important research topics such as ethnic Chinese enterprises and the New Southbound Policy, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OAOC), together with National Taiwan University (NTU), National Chengchi University (NCNU), and National Quemoy University (NQU) will host the joint conference titled “2021 Frontiers in Accounting and Finance” and “Syntrend, Ethnic Chinese Enterprises, and Modern Management” on 2nd and 3rd of October 2021 at the College of Management, National Quemoy University. We plan to invite domestic scholars as well as scholars from Singapore and Malaysia etc. to contribute to the joint conference. We welcome both scholars and overseas communities to participate and bring in new ideas to enhance cooperation among the industries, governments, and universities. The platform serves to open the discussions on (1) enhancing the value chains within the overseas Chinese business world and (2) broadening the academic research perspectives in business management. We warmly welcome scholars to submit papers and attend the conference held on Kinmen (Quemoy).
